I got informed about the bad situation of a fellow artist in the USA, where the sinking economy produces more and more cases of people with illnesses that they cannot afford to treat anymore.
There is no national health-care, people will have to pay for their own medical bills most of the times. Even if they do have medical insurance, it is difficult to get payments off the insurers, often they do have to sue and some of the ill people will not survive the long time of their legal fight for justice cause they are left without the necessary medical treatment they would need to survive.
